This classic beach cottage is just 1 short block to one of the best "local" beaches in Santa Cruz...Moran Lake Beach. Pleasure Point and "the Hook" is a favorite spot for surfers and boogie-boarders and is just a few steps away. "Elizabeth's" is a unique cafe overlooking the cliff. This area is popular for beach-combers, sunbathers, swimmers,and tide-pool trekkers alike.

A 5 minute bicycle ride will take to you to Capitola where there seems to be an art fair or festival every weekend. The non-stop party continues all year at Margaritaville, the FogBank, and Stella's.

A 2-minute drive the other direction will bring you to Santa Cruz Harbor where you can rent a kayak, take a chartered sail, or dine the finest at the Crow's Nest restaurant.

A 10-minute drive will take you to the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. Enjoy the rides and the beach all summer and weekends during the fall and winter. Contact "Club ED" surf school for beginning to advanced surf lessons taught with patience and good-humor.

The Slippery Sailor Surf Shack (Aka: SSSS) is a clean and well-appointed 3 Bedroom, 2 bath home with an additional den and 2 decks to enjoy the fresh ocean breezes and partial views of the sparkling Monterey Bay. The SSSS is nice enough to feel special yet charming enough to feel comfortable. There is a nice-sized grassy yard that is ideal for relaxing with the hot tub, BBQ, and firepit. There is a warm outdoor shower to rinse the salt water from your wetsuit and sand from your sea-dog.

The SSSS sleeps 6 people traditionally with 1 King and 2 queen beds. Additional beds are available with 1 sleeper sofa and 4 foam mattresses which are surprisingly comfortable. Maximum occupancy is 12 people. Linens and towels are provided but you may want to bring beach towels and a blanket for the beach.

The kitchen is fully equipped with all of the appliances, dishes and cutlery to make your stay comfortable. There is a TV with VCR and DVD in the family room. Another TV and DVD is in the den. A washer and dryer are available for your use. The driveway has room for at least 2 vehicles so parking is never a problem. Your well-behaved doggy is welcome. We appreciate smoking outdoors only.


Living Room:
Cozy up with a warm blanket in our super comfy couches. Bring your favorite DVD or watch one of ours. Cable is provided.


Kitchen:
The well-equipped kitchen has everything you need for a casual snack or a gourmet dinner. Just bring the groceries! Coffee and maker, blender, microwave, dishes and kitchen utensils are available.

The Palms Room:
The Palms bedroom has 1 King bed and plenty of closet space. Linens are provided for all beds. The Cave bedroom has 4 foam beds and lots of extra blankets. A washer and dryer is available for your use.
The Surfers Room:
The Surfers Room has 2 queen beds plus sliding door access to the 2 upstairs balconies. Open the door just a bit and you will hear the sound of waves crashing off the rocks all night long.
The Den:
The Den has a sleeper sofa with linens. This is a great place to play Monopoly or any other games provided for you. This room has direct access to the backyard and hot tub.

Hot Tub:
Unwind and relax in the backyard hot tub. Rinse off the beach in our outdoor shower.

Backyard:
Spacious grassy backyard with charcoal BBQ and swing chair. Enjoy visits from hummingbirds and butterflies. Ideal for entertaining.
Moran Lake Beach:
Moran Lake Beach is a 2-mile stretch of fine light sand. Dip your toes in the gentle waves at this family and dog-friendly beach.
300 steps from:
Just 300 steps from your front door is the world famous area known as Pleasure Point. Check out the tide pools and see if you can spot the dolphins which cavort in the same waves as the surfers.
View from deck:
Breathe in the fresh ocean air from one of our two ocean view decks. Relax and kick your feet up on a lounge chair. Enjoy an afternoon cocktail and watch the surfers walk by.
